Suicidal Tendencies - Join The Army

Let's Talk About... Suicidal Tendencies - Join The Army LP Seeing this getting a repress was extremely exciting. The amount of hours my ears have put on this album is beyond measure. This is the point where the band crosses over to blend punk and thrash. Mike Muir has always had a terrific lyric writing style that reminds us music is not a fashion show, we all struggle with life and you don't have to conform to someone else's vision for your life. Double that with the amazing Rocky George guitar work and it's basically unstoppable. It's packed full of killer groove and some much more to absorb...
Dolly Parton - Jolene

Let's Talk About... Dolly Parton - Jolene LP Admit it. We all love Dolly Parton. There are very few artists that can achieve a level of success equal to Dolly Parton and remain somehow grounded enough to see the world around them and want to share herself with it, even when she is not on camera. Her beautiful voice is how we first heard her name but she has excelled at far more than singing. She is a true gift to the music world and those around her in ways we may not see. The one thing I can see clearly in this album cover are three titles that confirm the...

Let's Talk About... Hippie Death Cult - 111 LP Warn your speakers before you play this record because it's gonna get loud. This record is groovy, moody, clean vocally, a touch of stoner psychedelics and all the way a heavy presence. Big sound and big heart. Not a fast paced sound but not a droning slow doom either. They kinda find the perfect middle ground to allow a blues based, 70's rock dynamic to lurk in the mix. Again, this is a massive sound. Don't let that 70's rock tag fool you. It also has one of my favorite album cover graphics. Don't fear the riffer...
Nirvana - Nevermind + Unplugged + In Utero

Let's Talk About... Nirvana - Nevermind + Unplugged + In Utero LP Anyone who was around to experience it can agree that Nirvana changed the music world overnight. Of course we can attribute the groundwork to many who came before like the Pixies or Melvins. Admitting to a sea change is never intended to overshadow the pioneers who led us to that point. Even the band would admit to a bit of imposter syndrome. It can and did happen to them. They became superstars. They wrote and recorded some of the greatest records of the time and the world took note. How could we argue that fact? It certainly did not resonate with everyone but it...
