New Releases April 10, 2026
Slacker. Probably my favorite self imposed title. Not because of a lack of effort but because when it happens it feels well deserved. Like a vacation of sorts.
My lack of updates have been related to some recent schedule changes in the normal routine. Some that have significantly impacted my work effort. Not that it has been left behind in my thoughts.
At times the creative avenues in my life feel like a huge bundle of helium filled balloons. Colorful, wonderful, fun to share and yet on a windy day they become an absolute terror to keep a hold on.
As many already know, sketch work has become a daily part of my routine. A welcomed analog separation that purges creative energy while keeping the screens in my life turned off. The music still continues to flood through in a welcomed port with open ears.
Now that all of this noted up front, let's dig back in.

Let The Spiders In by Masheena / Majestic Mountain Records (Europe) & Ripple Music (North America/world)
https://masheena.bandcamp.com/album/let-the-spiders-in
rock classic rock hard rock heavy metal stoner rock Bergen
Well, this album over is a nightmare for me. So be it. Great heavy rock and the thing we expect from Majestic and Ripple. Clean vocal with a fuzzy foundation.

Absurdus Manifestus by Stepmother / Tee Pee Records
https://stepmother1.bandcamp.com/album/absurdus-manifestus
punk proto-punk psychedelic rock rock and roll shock rock Melbourne
Another nightmare scenario. A pile of snakes and my glasses are being held casually captive. While I am paralyzed with the blurry fear slithering over my feet, you can have a listen to a killer punk fueled rock and roll album. It feels good to turn up loud and would certainly be a party shaker on your stereo.

Federation Mondo Tomorrow by The Neptune Power / Cruz Del Sur Music
https://theneptunepowerfederation.bandcamp.com/album/mondo-tomorrow
70s rock retro rock rock classic rock heavy psych stoner rock Sydney
Let us declare this the official rock and roll release day. Another stacked heavy rock record. It's starting to smell like perspiration and stale beer in here. Raise those glasses and check out this super fun and extremely color music video to go with some interesting at work. Could not locate the artist credit, unfortunately.

Through The Hourglass by Witch Ripper / Magnetic Eye Records
https://witchripper.bandcamp.com/album/through-the-hourglass
metal progressive metal metal progressive rock sludge stoner Seattle
Ok. Perhaps we declared rock day a touch too early. This one is rooted in more stripped down, melodic Mastodon style of metal and really hits in the best of ways. Killer artwork that really draws the eye into it.
Artwork by Chris Panatier

Something Deeply Hidden by Poly-Math / The Lasers Edge
https://wearepolymath.bandcamp.com/album/something-deeply-hidden
experimental alternative ethio-jazz instrumental math math rock math-rock mathcore post-hardcore post-rock prog prog-rock Brighton
Yes! Let's wrap this thing up with something a bit off of the beaten path. Killer math-rock attack that is a total mind warp. Prog soaked and easy to slip into. Can't get enough of that album artwork.
"The album title and track names are inspired by American theoretical physicist, Sean M. Carroll’s book on Quantum Mechanics, Something Deeply Hidden: Quantum Worlds and the Emergence of Spacetime.
The album artwork includes a series of abstract expressionist oil on canvas paintings by guitarist, Tim Walters."
So there we go. 5 new releases fresh out of the oven and ready to serve. Thank you for reading this far and additional thank you to everyone who has been patient as my work flow slowly finds balance once again.
