New Album Releases …
Nuclear Tomb - Epoch Inhumane / Rotted Life Records
death metal old school death metal old school thrash metal thrash metal Delaware
Well, let us not mess around with some half hearted display of musical miscommunication. This album will grab you by the throat and absolutely pumle you into a bloody pulp. Aggressive death metal with no intention f letting off of the assault. Destruction from start to finish. You are dead.

Tombal - Grave of the Damned / Blood Harvest

This is a tasty dose of darkness. Thrash soaked blackened death attack. The vocals are total cookie monster, its hyper fast and it checks all of the boxes for a rad adventure into the modern world of death metal. Fans of old school, no f’n around heaviness are gonna be stoked about this one. Not sure who did the art but it matches the vibe perfectly.
THE HEAVY EYES - Focus / Magnetic Eye Records
blues fu manchu hard rock howling giant king buffalo psychedelic blues psychlona rock’n’roll stoner rock Memphis
Thick, well balanced rock and roll. This one is presented with a clean vocal and nicely distorted amplifiers. It feel big with a mellow roll. The type of thing one could dig blasting at the summertime, backyard barbeque. Cold drinks, solid folks and a full plate of deliciousness. Everyone is gonna stay until the keg floats!
Artwork is not credited but the stippling on this piece is well executed!
DEFILED - Altered State / Season of Mist
death metal defiled metal season of mist brutal death metal Japan
This team knows how to deliver an album. No question, this is a well defined metal record. Lots of gruff vocals, chugging vibes and only the slightest step away from falling into a direct death metal labeling. The pace is comfortable and the production is terrific. Dig in and listen to how over 30 years of service pays off.

Goetia - Mortuary Cult / Carbonized Records
carbonized records death metal goetia metal punk Washington, DC
Grab ahold of as much earth as you can while this album drags you deep into the grave. A tasty death metal slab that is unapologetic about ripping flesh from bone and devouring it raw. If zombies come to life it will be because this album called them from the crypts. If they happen to move with any momentum, well, they will likely remain slow but this album will be a cool soundtrack for those who decide to fight back against the undead.
New Video Drops …
10,000 Years - Two Million Stones (Official Video)
These Swedish stoner rock jammers are back with a solid hit of chugging greatness. Clean vocals, easy to digest and big energy. Highly recommended for the heavy rock fan who wants to crank it up and melt faces.
Wailin Storms - You Never Answered (Official Video)
Stoked to see another tune by this group land in my updates. A touch psychedelic and a bit riff ready with a rock and roll heart that would welcome the Halloween spirits with open arms. It feels a touch unsettling in the best way. Another clean vocal delivery and full scale power move in song structure. Praise shall be upon these Appalachian natives.
BAD STUFF - Nepenthe (Official Music Video)
Post-punk, dark, welcoming and dissonant. This tune wraps the stereo in darkness and sinks its teeth directly into your views. If you are looking for that goth soundtrack to spook the neighbors, this is a fu place to start.
A Perfect Circle - “Starless” (Official Visualizer)
Highly unlikely that I need to introduce anyone to this band. Per the usual, they are damn near perfect in their delivery of heavy jams that somehow walk in shadows between emotionally heavy, broken, angry and as cleanly assembled and delivered as one could possibly ask for. Another ace for the circle.
Psycroptic - Gathering a Venomous Herd (Official Video)
Let’s close out with a vibe that is polar opposite of most of this weeks list of video selections. This ripper is a technical death stabber. Its tight, precise and feels like a razor blade sliding directly across your flesh. Extreme musicianship, extreme vocals and hyper tempo for every instrument in the band. I would not be surprised if someone’s fingers did not spontaneously combust in the studio.
…is this the end?
