Lurching out like a slime covered wretch from grime coated, dark waters, On Through the Sky Maze by AAWKS slowly closes its grip to the sound of cracking bones.
As though we have summoned the beast of our own damnation from space, the slow ripping and tearing of flesh serves no purpose beyond the absolute destruction of our being. As limbs are stretched and torn, we begin to feel the mind erupt with a strange sensation of our mortality and an existence beyond this earth. Sparks shoot across our vision and the strain becomes cathartic.
If there is a psychedelic twist at the end of our life line, AAWKS have found that path to transition us to worlds beyond with pain as the principal foundation.

General Synopsys: Thick and fuzzy. Gristle in the vocal that changes up to a touch of psychedelic style in sections. This is a gritty, sludge record that has dosed up on mind altering substances. Highly recommended.
