Beastie Boys - Aglio E Olio If you missed out on the fact of Beastie Boys actually being a well informed group of punk rock kids, this record should be the next one on your list. It's blistering, furious, snotty and everything that generally makes up a fun punk rock record. Full of angst, distorted bass lines and high speed attack, it reminds me of the Polly Wog Stew EP which is where many, including myself, discovered the punk rock world of the Beastie Boys. It sounds as though it was recorded in a better studio setting and I hope this one stays in print for a while because it could be the trigger to introduce another generation to punk rock that doesn't sound like it was manufactured by a record label. RIP MCA. We miss you.
