Years ago while browsing a Resound music magazine, I happened upon a review of this Conquest 7". It was short and simple and said something along the lines of "Play this to get the party started". Simple but effective enough to stick in my head. Later when placing a record mail order by phone I was pleased to discover a few extra dollars remaining on my prepaid credit card and happened to ask, "Do you still have that Conquest 7" in stock?" The answer was yes and my fate was determined.

It arrived the following week and was my first glimpse at the cover art. The bondage driven cover model menacingly taunting me was hardly an explanation for the music it contained. Somewhat explicit, for sure. My curiosity was already captured in the simple written words.

Finally dropping the needle, the guitar cried out with a riff worthy of any NWOBHM single followed by the pounding of drums and the party had been secured. Without a doubt, the previously written words sang true and hit the mark. These two songs are some of the best heavy jams these ol' ears have ever discovered on a surprise pick via telephone mail order.
