Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony Is A Dead Scene

Let's Talk About...
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony Is A Dead Scene EP

The first time I witnessed DEP was in 1999 when they opened for Mr. Bungle on the California tour. Shortly after that blistering performance they made a change in vocalists. Before solidifying the new voice of the band, this EP was released in 2002 featuring Mike Patton. Pretty neat to hear them collaborate on such a brutal masterpiece. THere is a moment where, as a listener, you think, "Holy snakes! This is gnarly." and then before you know it, the track changes and you find yourself saying, "This is one of the grooviest heavy jams ever." and then... well, give it a listen. It's under 20 minutes but packs enough riffs to last some bands though four or five albums. Chinga!
