Songs taken from other artists without credit, the cool recording techniques they applied, interesting special packaging, the neat tape delays in spots or is that unintentional, the sexuality that drips from the lemon of Robert Plant, the bizarre sound experiments they drop in the opening track of LZ II and many other places, management, the way they changed the live music experience for artists, the list goes on and on. I've always thought John Paul Jones was one of the greatest secret weapons of all time. Combo him with John Bohnam and you basically build the foundation for what every rock and roll band wants to be. John to the second power is unstoppable. File under Bobby's Essential Listening.
