Miles Davis Bitches Brew + A Tribute To Jack Johnson

Miles Davis Bitches Brew + A Tribute To Jack Johnson

Twosday Tuesday! Let's Talk About...
Miles Davis Bitches Brew + A Tribute To Jack Johnson LP

Miles may be one of the most well known names in the jazz world. Rightly so. He helped push boundaries at a time when others were content to say "Jazz is jazz and that other stuff, well, it is not jazz". That statement makes sense when you hear albums from 1951. That is when Miles' first album was released. Now we jump forward twenty years to 1970-71 with this combo and discover that jazz was always about pushing boundaries, testing theories, experimenting and finding the path. Oh, we can't forget that the band is now performing on electric instruments. That would have been a cardinal sin in the 50's. At this point in the timeline, we still have twenty more years of Miles Davis. Protip: If you check out the artists that are featured on his records it can serve as the cheat code toward the easiest path of discovering some of the great players in jazz history.
