A poignant and emotive offering lies within "The Unraveling", the latest single to land from the Florida and Texas hailing progressive heavy outfit HUMANNESS TEST. This new offering combines guitar driven-riffs with charismatic vocals, harmonies and intriguing instrumental arrangements.
Canadian death metal ensemble SCORCHING TOMB bring a crushing onslaught in the new album Ossuary. The brutal first single "Skullcrush" feat. Devin Swank (SANGUISUGABOGG), brings bloodthirsty, punishing riffs. Ossuary is set to land on October 24, via Time To Kill Records.
“Born Of Stitch And Flesh” is the ripping new track from Warsaw, Poland-based technical thrash metal trio SPECIES. The song marks the latest warning shot from the band’s impending second album, Changelings, nearing release on 20 Buck Spin.

With more than 1 billion streams and features in the History Channel TV show Vikings, Danheim has become a cornerstone for Nordic folk and Viking music alongside Heilung and Wardruna.
Today, producer Reidar Schaefer Olsen is announcing the next chapter for Danheim with his first album for Season of Mist. Heimferd continues his evolution of the Nordic sound with its pounding percussion and minimalist drones. Intensity and restraint are locked together in a ritual that feels ancient yet alive.
“For me, Heimferd is a journey home”, Olsen says, “not to a physical place, but to my ancestry, honoring the weight of old paths while also forging new ones”.
Heimferd comes out October 31, 2025 on Season of Mist.

Hailing from the ever-thriving and always-interesting Indian metal underground, TETRAGRAMMACIDE have proven to transcend even such already-superlative boundaries. Since their formation in 2012, the hydra-headed entity has created one of the most genuinely threatening and overwhelmingly violent sounds of modern times, and then they flip the script by becoming clearer and more focused and somehow even more feral. Allied with IRON BONEHEAD since 2015, TETRAGRAMMACIDE's Typhonian Wormholes: Indecipherable Anti-Structural Formulæ mini-album was a modern classic of blown-out barbarism and in-the-red frequencies, betraying the fact that an accomplished black / death band were simply waiting for an opportune time to reveal a clearer portrait of their sonic holocaust. That then arrived with 2017's Primal Incinerators of Moral Matrix debut album: an impossibly accomplished display of black/death intensity and density, sharpened to a such a degree that their sensory overload became all the more expansive.
Milano's acid and psychedelic rock pillars GIÖBIA present a mesmerizing and sizzling new track taken from their sixth studio album "X-ÆON", to be released on October 17th via Heavy Psych Sounds Records.
Dan Rosenboom's Coordinates is boundary-less and meticulous, "a programmatic concept album that is as sonically rich as it is emotionally riveting." The record features 28 players, innumerable styles, moods and modes, and showcases Rosenboom as composer, producer, and player. People throw around the term "epic" but there's really no better use than in describing something like this.
JazzTrail says Coordinates "brims with fresh-start urgency, charting a course through environments alive with rhythmic jabs and stabs. Through open platforms—sharply informed by funk, rock, jazz, and metal—[Rosenboom] unveils a host of new tricks up his sleeve."
To mark the record's release, Rosenboom is sharing the video of "Coordinate 3: Syzygy."
