Nausea - Extinction
(punk, crust, hardcore)
(New York)
(Svart Records)
The mind envisions a view from a once healthy planet that now gazes upon the slow destruction of our world as Extinction by Nausea begins to unfold.
The recent reissue via Svart Records has returned me back to zero. Originally issued in 1990, these songs are boiling over with the crust punk angst that ignites the soul. Striving for a better world, we have little choice or power in comparison to the corporate greed machine. Still we push against the grain. Knowing the end result of their deceit is clear, they continue to take now, pay later. The model is broken. These songs remind us that it is far past time to halt our eventual destruction and reconnect with nature and her glory before it's too late.
Let our mothers wings spread and continue to work her harmony in place of the death shroud mankind is currently knitting with our harsh and self serving ways.
