Neurosis - Given to the Rising LP
As always, you can count on Neurosis to help purge those feelings of loss and confusion. This era showcases more elements of post rock and a softer, we are all wandering adrift in the waves vibe that creeped in heavily around the Eye of Every Storm album. It's one of my favorite parts of their evolution. It was even more attractive to see the band members begin releasing their solo material. It clearly shows where and how this all comes together. This record is pulverizing. Those who know me know how much I appreciate this band. There really is no substitute. File under Bobby's Essential Listening.
