CULT UK HARDCORE DEATH-SLUDGERS TRUDGER RETURN WITH CRUSHING NEW ALBUM VOID QUEST, THEIR FIRST NEW RECORDINGS IN 11 YEARS
Returning after an eleven year absence, one of the UK's most exhilarating death metal infused sludge bands TRUDGER are back with their brand new album, VOID QUEST. The Barnsley, Yorkshire based quartet made quite a strong name for themselves in the UK's heavy underground scene, being the first band to have a full length album out on now defunct extreme label COF Records (previous home to Caïna, Wode, Esoteric Youth, Swinelord, Monolithian and more). Trudger quickly became fearsome contenders on the UK's live circuit, bringing a raucous hardcore energy to their hard-edged progressive sound, going on to tour Europe alongside Dvne in support of their 2014 debut full length Dormiveglia. Trudger leave behind an impressive live legacy from their original phase of activity, performing across the UK with the likes of Oathbreaker, Conan, Downfall Of Gaia, Bongripper, Bismuth, Slabdragger, Boss Keloid, Coltsblood and Undersmile. Their last show to date saw Trudger opening for Primitive Man and Sea Bastard in Manchester, back in April 2015. Trudger didn't officially disband, but merely drifted apart when life got in the way and band members veered away from their hometown to follow different creative pursuits. Now the tides of fate have brought the same lineup back together to make their much overdue second album. Void Quest picks up right where Trudger left off just over a decade ago without skipping a beat, pushing their intense, chaotic, blistering and unrelenting force to the next level.

For the past 15 years, Faber Horbach has traced our connection with the sun through the music of Sowulo, but his upcoming concept album journeys into darkness. Written while grieving the loss of both his father and stepfather, the new single from NIHT is a mythopoetic lament. Looking to Norse cosmology, "Sōl ond Māni" explores the loss of both light and life by using a broken instrument to give death a voice.

PRAYER GROUP is a noise rock band that can't decide if it should be a punk band, or a noise rock band, and they generally don’t care. Formed nearby 2014 or so by way of folks who’d cut their teeth in Richmond area bands Equestrians, Kingshead, Gifts From Enola, and others, their sound in this act veers towards something a bit more squarely in line with the most classic era of United States noise rock/post-hardcore. Having released three EPs and an LP over the past decade, along the way the band has left scattered venues across the East Coast in shambles, killed several vans and even more speakers, and most definitely plenty of brain cells. Having played alongside such contemporaries as USA Nails, Ken Mode, Multicult, and Child Bite, PRAYER GROUP injects a hardcore punk brevity into their noise rock reinterpretations of the style, giving it a wild twist.

Toronto post-metal outfit and new MNRK Heavy signees lowheaven will unleash their stunning Ritual Decay debut full-length on August 29th.
Ritual Decay, pulls heavily from ‘90s influences like Cave In and Deftones, and feels nostalgic in nature. Produced by Brett Romnes and mastered by Mangus Lindberg, the ten-track offering explores the reality of complete social isolation and the acceptance of what it means to lose faith in life and yourself. Following the dissolution of his previous band and the mandated COVID-19 isolation, the very foundations of Thomson’s identity crumbled. Several unfortunate medical diagnoses led to a great deal of change, many of which would alter his life forever.
