Let's dig in.
Litera by Vøvk / Independent
https://vovk.bandcamp.com/album/litera
Ukrainian progressive rock outfit Vøvk announces their deeply personal and conceptual new album, "Litera", set for release on October 3. This album explores Ukraine’s emotional landscape in times of turmoil, using nature and primal feelings as subtle metaphors.
Washer by Cleaning Women / Svart Recordings
https://cleaningwomen.bandcamp.com/album/washer
Washer is Cleaning Women's fifth album. It started from scratch with the construction of the new Vacuum Sound Space studio back in 2020. Things took time, material was created and discarded, arrangements were edited and the form of the content needed work. All instruments are still homemade, but as the band searched for a new sound, even the responsibilities within the band were rearranged. Percussionist CW03 sometimes clung to the stringed instruments and laundryman CW04 also scooped the rhythm section with his robotic hands, still hitting the melodic pins of a clothes horse with one limb. CW01 wove a web together with his electric Viola de Gamba/Cello hybrid and his coffee-bean-can-bouzouki.
Structures by Cranial / Moment of Collapse Records
https://cranialband.bandcamp.com/album/structures
German post-metal titans CRANIAL have announced their highly anticipated new album, "Structures", set for release on October 2 via Moment of Collapse Records. This marks the band's powerful return from a period of personal and global turbulence, channeling grief, loss, and uncertainty into their most personal and evolved work to date.
Lachrymose Monuments Of Obscuration by Hooded Menace / Season of Mist
https://hoodedmenace.bandcamp.com/album/lachrymose-monuments-of-obscuration
Over the past 20 odd years, Hooded Menace have stood not as a bridge but a pillar between two different realms of underground metal. The cultishly beloved band's upcoming seventh album is still bound by a morbid obsession with classic horrors. But on Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration, Finland's stewards of death-doom remain far from stuck in their ways. Lead single "Portrait Without a Face" cranks up the neon-soaked nightmares while digging out a grave new surprise from under their long-sleeve.
The Spiritual Sound by Agriculture / The Flenser
https://agriculturemusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-spiritual-sound
There’s a kind of quiet violence in how music is consumed today—flattened into background noise, sonic perfume fed into algorithms, sold as lifestyle. It’s entertainment as anesthesia. Sound without the weight. The Spiritual Sound, the new full-length from Los Angeles–based band Agriculture, stands as a pointed refusal of this condition. This is not a playlist. This is not a vibe. It is a demand.
Uncrossing The Keys by Wode / 20 Buck Spin
https://20buckspin.bandcamp.com/album/uncrossing-the-keys
Manchester’s savage sons WODE return with their fourth album, Uncrossing The Keys, marking a confident expansion of their already formidable sound built upon a shadowy foundation of feral black metal and ironclad heavy metal heft. Having evolved from the more straightforward methodology of the debut album, WODE has continuously added elements from various dark corners of the underground across its discography, with songwriting that has grown leaner yet more intricate, focused and melodic than ever.
Dêmocide by Dispossessed / Carbonized Records
https://dispossessedpdx.bandcamp.com/album/d-mocide
The DISPOSSESSED collective infuses elements of sludge, doom, and death metal into a commanding sound rooted in anger, despair, and political resistance. Formed in 2014, the band emerged from Portland’s metal scene with a mission to confront systems of oppression through uncompromising, feedback-driven music. Their sound combines slow-burning riffs, bleak atmospheres, and a raw, aggressive energy that draws influence from bands like Corrupted, Asunder, Winter, and Grief. Lyrically and thematically, DISPOSSESSED engages directly with issues such as systemic violence, environmental destruction, and carceral injustice, grounding their work in anti-authoritarian ideals.
