Unleash the hounds!

The Alchemist by DAYTRIPPER / Independent

https://daytripperdoom.bandcamp.com/track/the-alchemist

Daytripper conjures earth-crushing desert stoner doom from the sands of Phoenix, Arizona. Last year, the release of their debut LP, “Book I: The Trip”, beckoned to doom worshipers worldwide with infectious riffs and mystifying lore. Their upcoming project, “The Alchemist”, evolves and progresses the doom palette while further illuminating the backstory of a core character from Book I. The new EP steeps Daytripper’s doom core in a concoction of psychedelic locrian modes, enchanting synthesizers, and nod-inducing sludge.

https://scorchingtomb.bandcamp.com/album/ossuary

Canadian death metal ensemble SCORCHING TOMB bring the grinding heavy in Ossuary. A delight for the lovers of bone-crushing rhythms and inhuman gutturals, Ossuary is set to land on October 24, via Time To Kill Records.

Dominion of Ashes by Cemetery Moon / Independent

https://cemeterymoon.bandcamp.com/album/dominion-of-ashes

The gates of the dark kingdom have swung open, and the haunting has commenced once again. CEMETERY MOON has returned with a new album, a culmination of intensive composing, rehearsing, and performing its singular style of black metal art. Apparition’s vocals have coalesced into a ghostly voice of terror, while Langeloth joins the fray on “Smoke Trails at Vespers” to display his own call from the grave. Likewise, the two guitarists attack the sonic landscape like two dragons—one baring its teeth in a ferocious growl, the other scorching the listener in waves of fire. Meanwhile, Astoroth’s bass lines quake the earth below, reinforced by the thunderstorm of Usurper’s merciless drumming.

Fortune's Always Hiding by The Lunar Effect / Svart Records

https://thelunareffect.bandcamp.com/album/fortunes-always-hiding-2

Dragging classic rock through a psychedelic haze and leaving it bleeding in the present – The Lunar Effect’s most ambitious work to date out in October via Svart Records

The Lunar Effect were formed in London in 2017 by brothers Jon and Dan Jefford and later completed by vocalist Josh Neuwford, bassist Brett Halsey, and eventually second guitarist Mark Fuller. Since their arrival on the scene, they’ve carved out a reputation for crafting music that feels both familiar and original - a modern echo of grunge-soaked ’70s rock, fuzzed-out blues, and melancholic British soul.

Western Wilderness by Elepharmers / Electric Valley Records

https://evrecords.bandcamp.com/album/elepharmers-western-wilderness

Electric Valley Records presents Elepharmers’ upcoming fourth record, Western Wilderness, arriving October 24 on multiple vinyl variants and across digital platforms.

Active since 2010, Elepharmers are a stoner/heavy-psych trio from Sardinia, Italy. Their geographical origins have influenced their sound and their imagery: sunny and desolate plains, wild coasts, mysterious prehistoric megaliths, ancient forests. While firmly grounded in the stoner genre, their sonic DNA also draws from metal, thrash, grunge, and hard rock of the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s: the trio's sound is driven by powerful downtuned guitar riffs and drum grooves, bluesy vocals, and a free-sounding lead guitar.

Time Under Tension by KARATE STEVE / Independent

https://karatesteve.bandcamp.com/album/time-under-tension

Boston, Massachusetts-based riff-driven metal quartet KARATE STEVE presents their third album, Time Under Tension.

Formed in 2015, KARATE STEVE is embodied by guitarist/vocalist Ben Davis, lead guitarist/vocalist Robb White, bassist Earl Brown, and drummer Zach LeWinter. Drawing from a wide array of influences – from ‘90s death metal and hardcore to thrash, sludge, and more – the band’s hybrid of styles culminates into a unified alloy that centers around one thing: The riff. Lyrically, the song content shifts from politics to loss to self-improvement and more, with a commanding vocal delivery that drives the chaotic but cohesive instrumentation. Fans of High On Fire, Mastodon, Chimaira, Arsis, Darkest Hour, and fellow Massachusetts acts Shadows Fall, Unearth, Diecast, and Sam Black Church will all hear something both familiar and motivating in the KARATE STEVE sound.

The Silver Sea by Remina / Avantgarde Music

https://avantgardemusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-silver-sea

Mike Lamb (Sojourner) and Heike Langhans (Sojourner, ex-Draconian) are back with their personal gothic/doom project, Remina. The duo’s sophomore album, 'The Silver Sea', will follow their 2022 debut 'Strata'.

«'The Silver Sea' was written over the three year period following the release of our debut album 'Strata', and it is the product of the changes we experienced as both a band and on a personal level.

CLOUD COLONY by REDWOOD / Independent

https://redwooddoom.bandcamp.com/album/cloud-colony

Northern California’s REDWOOD is back with a new album, and after hearing heavy psychedelic music lovers saying “I love these EP’s, but I would really love a full length album”, we are here to deliver.

Nearly 45 minutes, eight tracks including the same classic REDWOOD soundscape of dueling guitars, spacey

synth, ethereal vocal harmonies, and groove hardened bass. This album features a psychedelic reworking of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams”, reimagined as “INTO THE SUN”; same instrumental composition, new psychedelic lyrics. Also featuring a lengthy instrumental, as well as revisiting the Bloodshot Buffalo (the project that gave birth to REDWOOD) song “ESCAPING ABSENCE”.

World Maker by PSYCHONAUT / Pelagic Records

https://psychonautband.bandcamp.com/album/world-maker

Belgian psychedelic post-metal collective Psychonaut return with 'Stargazer', a sprawling, emotionally charged new single and video, taken from their forthcoming album World Maker, out 24th October via Pelagic Records. Known for weaving together towering riffs, polyrhythmic precision and deep philosophical themes, the trio now turn inward, navigating the shifting terrain of fatherhood, grief and hope.
