DISSENTIENCE, the progressive death-thrash unit from Bethlehem, PA, returns with their most conceptually ambitious and sonically punishing release to date: Kaiju. Scheduled for release on February 20, 2026, Kaiju is a four-track concept EP that fuses cinematic horror, crushing riffs, and lyrical dread into a singular apocalyptic vision. Drawing inspiration from classic Japanese monster films and the unknowable terrors of Lovecraftian mythology, the record explores the narrative of a colossal, nameless beast as it decimates a city. Rather than paying tribute to kaiju lore in name alone, DISSENTIENCE builds a world where riffs, lyrics, and production align to place the listener in the path of annihilation.

The concept of Cybergenesis fits seamlessly with the fiery heavy metal therein. A daring expedition into a space-time rift ends in disaster, awakening the Choir, an ancient alien hive mind from an alternate dimension, and plunging humanity into a desperate war for survival. On an Earth enslaved by the Choir's army of cyborgs, a former commander is reborn as the Rhizome Rider, leading a rebellion from within and sacrificing himself to free humanity.

The temple of VOID MONUMENTS was founded in 2020 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In 2024, the style of the band was finally sculptured: wicked, old-school death metal with sinister lyrics. In 2024, VOID MONUMENTS started to play crushing gigs in their hometown, and at the very end of the year, they released the demo tape Temples of Pestilence.
Now, VOID MONUMENTS are set to launch their name onto the international death metal map with the debut album Posthumous Imprecation. Authentically old school yet undeniably energetic, Posthumous Imprecation is a tour de force of dark, deadly DEATH METAL of a most '90s vintage. Whether it's the aesthetic apex of the very early '90s or the oft-overlooked rumblings of the late '90s, VOID MONUMENTS construct crushing towers of sound that shoot off into dusty catacombs and primordial slime alike. Sonic signposts are aplenty - Malevolent Creation, Sinister, The Chasm, Monstrosity, and Cenotaph among others - but rarely on Posthumous Imprecation is there a moment that's overly familiar nor fawning; this is simply stout, strong-songwriting death metal. No more but definitely no less: by death metal maniacs, for death metal maniacs!
