Orgone - Bacano
(afrobeat, funk, soul)
(Los Angeles, California)
(Killion Floor Sound)
One of the easiest to enjoy albums I have discovered in recent weeks, Bacano by Orgone takes mellow jams to a fresh level.
With a deep groove that connects to the heart and warms the soul, these songs evoke a dim, candlelit room with a light haze. A warm flame flickering in the distance dances as romance fills the room. A subtle touch of the skin, reflected from the shimmering beads hanging. There is a silkiness to the bass groove that flows like the smooth sweat on flesh. It's not all slow jams either. Among the humidity are some serious dance-inducing jams that will get the foot tapping and head nodding.
This is a sleek and sexy record, as the album art implies, and any fan of funk music will be happy to add it to their library.
