Like the delicate and somber nature of applying dressings to the dead, sadness and celebration align to carry us through the next phase.
This exquisitely fragile movement feels as though we are experiencing the passing of seasons into the cold darkness. Leaves turn brown and slowly return to earth. Holding its place in life giving by sacrifice. The vision of a candle slowly shrinking away. Wax that once gave light to darkness slowly fades into obscurity.
My album of the year contender has taken their vision and kicked it up an extra notch with a companion ep that expresses true ambient beauty in its subtle breath of life.
