It's no secret that country music is not my first choice for listening. However, I am always onboard with a burning batch of blue brass. Cuttin' Grass Vol.2 kicks the album off with a top speed assault of mandolin, guitars, and banjos. This is something i'll always be amazed by. This team really does shoot fire from their fingertips. Ballad is a little different though. This one is a more traditional concept album that lives in the world of classic country but has a touch of bluegrass also. Guess what? It still hooked me. Great album and Sturgill is an artist that has broken the wall between me and country. Give these a chance.
