White Zombie - La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 1 LP When it comes to records, there are very few that raise the flag of dirt and grime high enough to make me think of muscle cars, motorcycles, the smell of exhaust, oil and gasoline. Before we connect these references to the song Black Sunshine, let me step out in front and say this record was consumed hourly in a garage filled with these specific elements. Make no mistake, those elements arrived in my life long before this record found its way onto the stereo system. Motorhead, Zeke, White Zombie, L7, Helmet, these artists all make me reflect on evenings in the garage. I once heard a song from this album on a shoe commercial! Anyone else remember that?
