notes:

Blind Melon -
Blind Melon is the debut studio album by American rock band Blind Melon, released on September 22, 1992 through Capitol Records. Most know them for the single No Rain but that is hardly even a flake off of a cube of the iceburg the band has to offer.
In 2022, Guitar World ranked Blind Melon #8 on their list of "The 30 greatest rock guitar albums of 1992"
---
Counting Crows - 1996
Recovering the Satellites is the second studio album by American rock band Counting Crows, released on October 15, 1996, in the United States. Released three years after their debut album , it reached No. 1 in the United States and was a top seller in Australia, Canada, and the UK as well.
The album has been certified double-platinum in both the US and Canada. Frontman Adam Duritz has called this his favorite album by the band.
----
Meat Puppets II is the second album by the Phoenix, Arizona band the Meat Puppets, released in 1984. It is a departure from their self-titled debut album, which consisted largely of noisy hardcore with unintelligible vocals. It covers many genres from country-style rock to slow acoustic songs to psychedelic guitar effects .
Three of the album's songs were covered by Nirvana during their "Unplugged" show for MTV ("Plateau", "Oh, Me", and "Lake of Fire").
---
Morphine yes
Yes is the third studio album by alternative rock band Morphine, released in March 1995. It was their first album to make the Billboard Top 200, but fared less well abroad than its predecessor. As of February 1997 it has sold 156,000 copies in United States according to Nielsen SoundScan

Catamaran
...And the Circus Leaves Town is the fourth and final studio album by American stoner rock band Kyuss, released on July 11, 1995, nearly a year before their breakup. Drummer Alfredo Hernández replaces Brant Bjork, who left Kyuss in 1993. The album features a tighter and more straightforward sound, both in songwriting and production, than the band's preceding efforts. The album was not as commercially or critically successful as the previous Blues for the Red Sun and Welcome to Sky Valley. Critic Dean Brown attributes this partly to a lack of promotion and the band's breakup, but also notes that the album "deserves to be cherished as much as the two molten hot records that came right before it.
A video was released for "One Inch Man", the album's only official single.
---
The Waterfall is the seventh studio album by American rock band My Morning Jacket. the album was released on May 4, 2015 by ATO Records and Capitol Records. After touring 2011’s Circuital (2011), for two years the band took a break before regrouping in late 2013 to begin work on The Waterfall, a process which took eighteen months.

Much of The Waterfall was recorded at a hilltop studio located Stinson Beach, California, where the band rented seaside homes while recording. Many elements of the album—from its tone to the album art—are heavily indebted to the area and its nature. singer-songwriter Jim James mostly brought unfinished lyrics to the group to create a spontaneous development process.
His lyrics, document injury, romance and heartbreak, and spirituality, but center most on renewal.
It debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., and represented career bests in several countries' national album charts. To promote the record, murals of a waterfall were painted on buildings in several U.S. cities, including Los Angeles and Chicago. The group founded a philanthropic organization named after the album to support environmental causes.
---
Robbin' the Hood is the second studio album by American ska punk band Sublime, released on March 1, 1994 on Skunk Records. It is noted for its experimental nature, low production values, and numerous samples and interpolations of other artists.
interpolations -  the insertion of something of a different nature into something else.

I Am Sam is the soundtrack to the 2001 film I Am Sam. It was released on January 8, 2002 by V2 Records. The album contents are made up entirely of cover versions of songs by The Beatles, although it was originally intended to consist of the group's original recordings. When producers were unable to obtain the rights to the original tracks, they commissioned the artists featured on the album to record the versions released.

Badmotorfinger is the third studio album by American rock band Soundgarden, released on October 8, 1991, through A&M Records. Soundgarden began the recording sessions for the album with new bassist Ben Shepherd in the spring of 1991. The album maintained the band's heavy metal sound, while featuring an increased focus on songwriting compared to the band's previous releases. AllMusic considered the album's music to be "surprisingly cerebral and arty"; alternative tunings and odd time signatures were present on several of the album's songs, and lyrics were intended to be ambiguous and evocative.

Badmotorfinger became the band's highest charting album at the time on the Billboard 200, where it peaked at number 39. The album received critical acclaim, citing the significant improvements over earlier releases and evolution in the band's sound. In 1992, Badmotorfinger was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, and it was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1996.

Chocolate and Cheese is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Ween, originally released by Elektra Records in 1994. It was the first Ween album to be recorded in a professional studio, in contrast to the crude four-track home recordings of The Pod and Pure Guava. However, most of the instruments were still played by Dean and Gene Ween, including their drum machine.
In July 2014, Guitar World placed Chocolate and Cheese at #45 in their "Superunknown: 50 Iconic Albums That Defined 1994" list.

It's a Shame About Ray is the fifth album by American alternative rock band the Lemonheads, released on June 2, 1992. Though not originally on the album, the band's cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" was added to the album in later pressings after it had become a major worldwide radio hit, and it features a later lineup of the band with Nic Dalton on bass. Although not on the Simon and Garfunkle cover, Juliana Hatfield was origianlly on bass and backing vocals for the album recording.
The title track was inspired by a quote that band leader Evan Dando had seen in a Sydney newspaper in reference to a kid called Ray who kept getting kicked out of every school he went to.
The album became an international hit for the band, reaching #31 in the UK Top 100 as well as #5 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in the U.S. The toitle track was later included at #138 on Pitchfork's "Top 200 Tracks of the 90s" list. The music video features Johnny Depp.[18]
Actress Polly Noonan and her car appear on the cover of the album.
----
Gish is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins, released in May 1991 through Caroline Records. Frontman Billy Corgan has variously described Gish as a "very spiritual album" and "an album about spiritual ascension".
Despite initially peaking at number 195 on the Billboard 200 upon its release, Gish received critical acclaim, with particular praise directed at the band's distinctive psychedelic sound. The album was eventually certified platinum (which is one million copies shipped in the US) by the RIAA. On April 1, 2019 Rolling Stone magazine ranked Gish the 32nd greatest grunge album of all time.
