A pop singer with a soulful sound and an individualistic spirit, Jax first rose to fame in 2015 when she was a contestant on the musical talent competition American Idol. Following her third place finish, she successfully battled thyroid cancer and released her 2017 EP Funny. In 2021, she landed a minor chart hit with "Like My Father," but it was her 2022 breakout body positivity anthem "Victoria's Secret" that vaulted her into the mainstream.
