MIGHT - ABYSS LP

Abyss by MIGHT is an interesting genre bending album. Not the type of thing like a Mr. bungle, where it jumps frequently and drastically from one genre to the next, but more of a blending rather than bending. Smoothly connecting dots that are typical used as dividing lines to present genre. There are parts, extreme, aggressive, metal mixed with poppy, alternative, heavy stoner, doom and gloom, chugging, metallic metal and acoustic passages.

There are multiple vocal voices to add even more range, even touching on a mellow section ala Leonard Cohen esq somber piano and low vocals, etc.

Writing all of that back to back seems so bizarre and I know that it’s not going to make a lot of sense but when you hear the album you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about. This one was fun!
