Three decades in, Freerange doesn't look back - it expands. "30 Years of Freerange" - 30 tracks from 30 artists across five EPs. A slow-burn rollout culminating in a beautiful boxset meticulously assembled to outlast trends, algorithms, and short attention spans. A handpicked cross-section of the Freerange continuum from artists who've shaped the sound alongside up and coming voices pushing it somewhere new. Here, the label present Vol. 2 with six more brand-new and exclusive tracks from a variety of label regulars.Aroop Roy kicks things off with a brilliant slice of fresh house music, inspired by Detroit but with a distinct London twist. "We Are The People" is just the kind of forward-looking track the label love to release with it's loose groove, bouncing stabs and fat bass.Next we have the hotly tipped Coflo who goes for the jugular with "Unlocked" featuring Rawb Boss. Tight, muscular rhythms, 303 flourishes and a punishing bassline bring the peak time energy whilst soulful vocal hooks ensure this track will work like magic in a wide range of sets.Closing the A side, Fred Everything brings his signature deep and musical touch on a track entitled "Elysium". Lush chords and rolling bassline keep the vibe uplifting making for a perfect warm up track to set the mood and lift the spirits.Flipping over we have the Dutch duo Fouk and their contribution to the release entitled "Moon". Here they do what they do best by using their deft, sonic touch to create a hypnotic house workout featuring filtered stabs and euphoric strings.Freerange regular Matt Masters steps up next with a long overdue return to the label and his sublime slice of deepness entitled "Everywhere at Once". Introspective and melancholic, Matt utilizes chopped up piano and pad chords to create a beautiful track perfect for those special moments on the dancefloor.Ending on a blissed out, chilled vibe Freerange welcomes back South African producer Radic The Myth who delivers a sun-soaked gem entitled "Forest of White Trees". The perfect closing track for the EP, Radic The Myth goes heavy on the emotive pads and arpeggiating synth parts all underpinned with mid tempo stripped-back house groove making for a sultry, summery groove to get lost in.
